debbie's home!
i just spoke with her on the phone
{it was sooo good to hear her voice....}
{it was sooo good to hear her voice....}
the first thing she said was how glad she was to be home
for some odd reason
one doesn't get much sleep in a hospital
go figure....
so she's really looking forward to sleeping in her own wonderful bed tonight

she is feeling good
tired, of course, but good
she wanted to thank you all so very much for your prayers and cards
your love is overwhelming to her
your love is overwhelming to her
and you really helped get her through some days of fear and uncertainty
she will go back next week for a check-up
and to receive more test results
so.....our battle is not yet over, my beautiful warriors!
we must keep praying that the test results come back clean and clear
and that the cancer was contained and removed entirely~

I called upon the Lord in distress; the Lord answered me. ~Psalms 118:5
I love the Lord, because He hath heard my voice and my supplications.
Because He hath inclined His ear unto me, therefore will I call upon Him as long as I live.
~Psalms 116:1-2

Dear Laurie,
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear she is home and recovering! I will continue to keep Debbie in my thoughts and prayers. Thank you so very much for the wonderful compliment on my photography! I have recently started using a lot of white backdrop to bounce natural light; I think that has helped. :) Take good care!
xoxo Lara
Hi Laurie,
ReplyDeleteTell Debbie that we are still praying and so sorry she is back in the hospital. I sent her another card out again this morning. Had no idea that she would be having more problems. She has sure been through it.
Prayers for you, too. It must be so hard for you to watch her go through all of this. Keep holding her hand for all of us.
Hugs- Tete
This is wonderful news...thank you Jesus. I will keep praying for complete healing and wholeness in Christ.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to let you know that most of my posts on In The Quiet are from my daily reading and meditations. Since I am becoming Catholic this year I am reading from the www.usccb.org daily readings every morning. They are the daily readings in the catholic church worldwide. If you read through all the readings in 3 yrs. you will have read the entire Bible. I also read in Psalms daily and have been doing this for over 20 yrs. I read bits out of a pile of books that nourish my spirit. The pile includes Thomas Merton, Mother Teresa, Brennen Manning, Gene Edwards right now. Thomas Merton's Book Of Hours is a daily book of readings for one week. Each day has readings for Dawn, Day, Dusk, and Dark. I think you would find it beautiful. I do. Another book that I have loved for the past 10 yrs. has been 100 Days In The Secret Place by Gene Edwards. There book includes the writings of Fenelon, Guyon, and Molino. I have used this book for daily contemplation for years...I seem to always go back to it. What I would suggest you do is go visit a bookstore like Borders or Barnes and Noble for the day...take a pile of books that look intrigueing to you, sit in a cozy spot, and begin to read...buy the ones you like most. This is how I found Thomas Merton's books. You can also search CBD(Christian Book Distributors)for these authors and see what they have. I have a list of many of my favorite books on my 'Quiet' blog on the sidebar. Let me know what you get! I hope this helps. ox
Ahhh..back home has to be great! Please know that my thoughts and prayers and the best well wishes are with you sweet ladies!! Smile your biggest, beautiful smiles and have a blessed day! Hugs to you all!
