    Laurie, I am so sorry! My heart breaks for you. Sophie is so beautiful. She felt your love everyday and still does :) You gave her a wonderful life and I just know she is still right there with you. Losing a pet is so hard because they are not animals, they are family members!! Sending you lots of love and hugs sweet friend!

    so sorry I can feel your pain, my own 'smudge' girl passed away in the doctor's office in September. It is hard. You cry and remember and look at the pictures "one more time". Smudge was 16 and I said I would NEVER do it again. yeah never say NEVER.
    I now have two sweet little kitties from two different litters. One is called Molly as she is tiger striped and has on her head an M in her hair line. Then we have a grey kitten we named MOSEY ...she is adorable too. We have enjoyed them and feel we all will continue to grow old together.

    We miss our canary bird the last 28 of December. I cried and cried and the worst was telling to our kids in the morning, they were crying too. It was only a little bird but we loved him.

    oh how we do grieve over our "Pets"... they absolutely are a part of the family.... We lost our precious Gracy (our Salt&Pepper Schnauzer) in 2013... Almost 16 years old...That beautiful bouncy big eyed girl left us..... old age caught up with her sadly.. oh how I miss her... I know exactly how you feel.... so sorry for your loss.....

    So sorry for the loss of your sweet Sophie. It is so hard to lose one of our sweet pets. I still cry when I see the pictures of my dear cat that I lost a year ago. There is no way to prepare for their parting except to love them to the max every day we have them.

    18 yrs is a long time!, she was with you almost half your life? Cats are too precious, they hang around until a healing crisis is over, and they tend to disappear after. They are truly magical creatures, their magic is real and pure love. My heart is with you.
