Just Roses

Not many thoughts today.
But I am finding so much comfort in the love you all sent me.
Thank you...from the bottom of my heart.

Beautifully pale, blush colored roses
brought home to celebrate the sale of our lake house ~

became a balm for the emptiness in my soul instead.

  8. I know you were getting anxious with selling the lake house, bittersweet it always is to leave a home behind, and walk in to the next chapter of your life. Wishing you all the best with the sale. I also felt sad to read that your little kitty cat passed, but as you already know, she is playing and happy at Rainbow Bridge. xo

  20. Geez, Laurie, I am so sorry your baby crossed over. I so missed your last post, and what a heart breaking one. Roni had such a great home here, you know they all will be waiting for you on the other side. Its so hard when you have to give them back, but what a wonderful time you get to spend with them while they are here. Hang in there, there may be another one that needs a good momma to love on them. Usually when he empties our arms its to place another one in them.

  21. It must be bittersweet, huh? Roses to celebrate...yet the quietness downstairs seeming so loud.
I can just see you walking through that big house in your bare feet, listening for Roni's deep voice at the stairs.
    She's still waiting....but now she's the one that's "upstairs".
    I love you, sis.

  27. It's so difficult to lose a pet. They somehow get to the very core of your heart so it's a big loss.

  30. So happy for you Laurie, but I am sure it is a bit bittersweet. That's how I felt when we moved from our home of 22 years. Happy to say our son bought it and he and his wife love it. The roses are such a gorgeous pale color. Love them and they look lovely in your beautiful home! Thanks for sharing with Share Your Cup!
